This is the spectacular full fireworks show that closed Eastbourne Airbourne on Sunday, 21st August 2022.

Eastbourne Airbourne airshow made it's post-covid return in 2022 and the fireworks show on the Sunday night was excellent.

The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone was launched from a quiet beach at low tide and spent it's time hovering over the English Channel. Although the camera was a considerable distance away from the display, some of the fireworks were exploding at incredible heights above the drone's 400 feet off the ground!

Thanks to Nathan for recording the sound so you can hear the booms, oohs and aahs.

Thanks also to everyone involved in Eastbourne Airbourne - it's great to have you back! It was an incredible four days!

Pretty please, if anyone is listening, may we have a sonic boom over the English Channel for Airbourne 2023? I'd LOVE to hear one. 🙏

Meeting up at the Bandstand over Christmas is one of the must-do Eastbourne traditions. It's a fabulous event, pulls the community together and has a great atmosphere for all ages.

I can't recall the weather ever being better for Christmas day than it was this year. Almost t-shirt weather!

Sad day in Eastbourne as we say goodbye to one of our iconic seafront hotels, the Claremont.

The fire service were doing a fabulous job and I'm so pleased having my drone in the air helped them to see how the fire was spreading. I'll be giving them this footage to help them with their investigation.

Filmed on a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom

To make a 4k hyperlapse on the Mavic 2 Zoom you have to manually stitch together and then crop the original hyperlapse pictures the drone takes.

As well as being more detailed you can also see more contrast, especially so in the dark areas of the picture. It's a tricky process but well doing for those special shots.
